CBS has given a hefty pilot production commitment to an untitled domestic comedy from Warner Bros. TV and the power trio of Shana Goldberg-Meehan, Scott Silveri and David Mandel. Andy Ackerman is on board to direct and exec produce with the troika.
The multi-camera project revolves around a couple with adult children. Goldberg-Meehan, Silveri and Mandel are writing the pilot together.
Goldberg-Meehan and Silveri, who are married, worked together on NBC’s “Friends” and “Joey” and have since fielded separate network sitcoms. Goldberg-Meehan’s most recent skein was ABC’s “Better with You” in 2010. Silveri was creator and showrunner of NBC comedies “Go On” and “Perfect Couples.”
David Mandel is a “Seinfeld” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” alum. Ackerman has worked with Mandel and Silveri in the past on multiple series. He also just signed on to direct and exec producer Fox’s John Mulaney comedy, which just landed an early series order.
WME packaged the project, which landed CBS’ biggest comedy commitment to date.
