After CBS passed on the series in May, Jim Gaffigan’s comedy has been brought back into the Eye’s development cycle for the 2014-15 TV season.

Gaffigan stars in his untitled comedy pilot, which CBS ordered back in January. Project, which also had Mira Sorvino attached to star, centers on a man who lives in Gotham with his wife and five kids. Comedy pilot did not make the cut, however, when the Eye handed out series orders in May before the net’s Upfront.

Cast of the single-cam project, save Gaffigan, may be overhauled with this retooling.

Peter Tolan and Gaffigan serve as scribes on the project, and will exec produce alongside Michael Wimer and Alex Murray. Sony Pictures TV is producing in association with Fedora Entertainment.
