LONDON — Virginie Calmels has resigned her positions as chief operating officer of television production company Endemol and chief exec of Endemol France, it was announced Friday.

Calmels, who joined Endemol in September 2003 and was managing director of Endemol France before rising to CEO of Endemol France and then COO of Endemol Group, is expected to depart the company shortly.

“Virginie did a great job in the different roles she held within the group and I wish her the very best for her future,” said Endemol chief executive Just Spee.

No successor has been announced.

Endemol Group operates a global network of more than 80 companies across 31 countries, with its h.q. in Amsterdam.

Its reality and game shows include “Big Brother,” “Deal or No Deal” and “Wipeout.” It also produces dramas like “Hell on Wheels” and “Hot in Cleveland.”

It’s recent and upcoming productions include “Red Widow” for ABC, “Peaky Blinders” and “Ripper Street.”
