Bruce Gersh to Exit FishBowl Worldwide Media

Key execs also promoted as Gersh departs the company

Bruce Gersh, prez and CEO of FishBowl Worldwide Media, is departing the company he founded with Vin Di Bona in 2010. Di Bona will remain the sole financier of the company.

“Working with Bruce has been an exciting experience,” said Di Bona. “His vision and hard work have helped establish a next generation studio, launching FishBowl in the TV and the digital marketplace and creating a 21st century system for optimizing our AFV library.”

With Gersh’s departure on the horizon, FishBowl has established a president of creative affairs post for Beth Greenwald, tapping her to oversee both scripted and unscripted programming. Greenwald has been with FishBowl since 2010, serving as senior veep of unscripted.

“As someone who has been with the company since its inception, I am really thrilled to now lead the FishBowl team,” said Greenwald. The exec had been a senior development exec at E! before joining FishBowl.

Paul Lapointe has been upped to exec veep and chief operating officer after serving as chief financial officer at FishBowl. In his new post, he’ll handle day-to-day operations and foreign production and distribution.

FishBowl also promoted Kelly Nash to v.p. of development, and hired Kevin Bloom as head of production. Finally, Lisa Black has been promoted to exec vice prez content and biz development.
