ABC has greenlit primetime gameshow “Bet On Your Baby” from Electus and 5×5 Media, and will bow the series in April.

On the show, parents try to predict their child’s next move in and effort to win money for their tyke’s future education. Toddlers featured on the show will be between 2 and 3 1/2 years old, and up to $50,000 is on the line.

Alphabet ordered eight hourlong episodes, with Melissa Peterman of ABC Family’s “Baby Daddy” slated to host.

A timeslot has not been announced.

“We are excited to partner with ABC on ‘Bet on Your Baby,'” said Electus CEO Chris Grant. “The show allows the audience to witness all the great moments that young and old alike have grown to love. While the parents compete feverishly to win their children a better future, the kids are blissfully unaware of any game being played other than the fun they are having in the baby dome which is the ultimate playground for any toddler.”

“Bet On Your Baby” was created by Craig Armstrong, Rick Ringbakk, Charles Wachter, Ben Silverman and Jimmy Fox. Electus International will handle the show’s worldwide distribution.
