You’ve got a big, beautiful home theater and a vast movie collection. But you’re tired of digging through your discs and wasting time with previews and FBI warnings.

One solution: the home-server system Kaleidescape.

Once Kaleidescape is loaded with your collection (presumably by an assistant), you can see the covers of the library as onscreen tiles. A touch of the Kaleidescape iOS app allows the viewer to start at the beginning of any uploaded title, or buy more content. The app offers built-in links to individual songs from concert pics and musical numbers from tuners. Extra players (if you have to ask the price … ) let you watch in other rooms.

Kaleidescape systems are available for residential, marine and aviation use. They start around $13,990.
