Jeff Olde will join E! as exec vice president of program development this summer, it was announced today.

The former VH1 programming exec will oversee original programming and series development for E!, including scripted development.

“Jeff is an incredibly gifted executive with deep industry relationships and a unique creative expertise,” said Suzanne Kolb, prexy of the cabler. “His passion for pop culture and proven track record for serving the audience will be invaluable to our long-term growth.”

During Olde’s tenure at VH1, he oversaw the development of some of the net’s most popular franchises, including “Mob Wives,” “Rock of Love,” “Tough Love” and “Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew.” He also helped launch VH1’s first scripted projects including “Single Ladies” and forthcoming drama “Hit The Floor.”

Before his time at VH1, Olde served as a creative consultant to prez of entertainment for MTV Networks Music Group Brian Graden.
