Michael Levitt To Be Executive Producer on Young Hollywood Awards

Event to be televised Aug. 1 by CW

Michael Levitt has been named exec producer of the 2013 Young Hollywood Awards.

Levitt’s credits include the Billboard Music Awards, TV Land Awards and Producers Guild Awards.

“The power and influence of young Hollywood is undeniable,” Levitt said. “To be honored on the Young Hollywood Awards makes an important statement about a celebrity’s star power and appeal to this all important demographic. I couldn’t be more excited and more proud to be part of an award show franchise that celebrates today’s most buzz worthy celebrities and certifies them as tomorrow’s superstars. ”

Previously, Lucy Hale, Tatiana Maslany and Kelly Osbourne, Kit Harington, Liam James and AnnaSophia Robb were named in the first set of honorees for the Santa Monica event, which will be broadcast for the first time on the CW on Aug. 1.

The Young Hollywood Awards are part of the portfolio of Penske Media Corp., owner of Variety.
