Many laughs were shared as stars of Showtime’s “Shameless” gathered for a special June 4 screening, reception and panel moderated by Chelsea Handler.

“I’ve been drinking since I was 16 knowing I was going to play this role,” William H. Macy revealed at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theater in NoHo.

Emmy Rossum said she tried to bring humanity to her role despite the outlandish situations. And the thesp admitted to possessing one or two shameless qualities of her own.

“I really fought to play this role. I auditioned four or five times in a wife beater. I think when people tell me no I get a little shameless,” said Rossum.

Thirteen-year-old Emma Kenney, who plays Macy’s daughter in the series, received a big laugh when she admitted, “I’m not even old enough to watch the whole show!”
