Jason Alexander and Bob Saget Think Orange

'Seinfeld' vet honored by org

Bob Saget kept his emcee duties relatively PG-rated May 9 at the Lupus LA Orange Ball. But not without delivering one good jab.

“They said kids would be here so no filth, but they suggested I wear orange. Ironically, I have one orange ball. It was a tanning incident, only got one side,” he quipped.

For the rest of the lupus fundraiser at the Beverly Wilshire, Saget kept things mild-mannered, making fun of himself and good friend Jason Alexander, who was the Loop Award recipient.

“I love him very much,” Saget said. “You know the way a taller Jew who was on a sitcom can love a shorter Jew who was on a legendary sitcom.”

“Rules of Engagement” thesp Patrick Warburton presented Alexander with the award, admitting, “I’d like to thank Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and John O’Hurley for not being able to make it tonight so I can give this award to Jason. I heard even the Soup Nazi couldn’t make it.”
