A bevy of sartorially savvy guests packed the tony back lounge of Soho House Dec. 5 to celebrate the Details Magazine’s mavericks issue, which honors Hollywood’s most forward-thinking self starters.
“House of Cards” scribe Beau Willimon wouldn’t divulge any secrets from the Netflix original series’ upcoming season, saying only, “It’s coming out on Valentine’s Day so I hope you cancel whatever Valentine’s Day plans you have and watch.”
Willimon was more straight forward in explaining the series’ recent teaser, which featured Robin Wright’s Claire Underwood taking a long slow-motion drag from her cigarette.
“You can never go wrong putting a camera on Robin Wright,” he quipped.
A+E’s Nancy Dubuc was also singled out by the mag for her showbiz acumen. Out late on a school night, Dubuc conceded that her dream party would be dinner in bed with her kids, though one expects Soho House’s sweeping crystal clear views of Los Angeles were a pleasant substitution.
When asked whether she would prefer to be called a maverick or a genius by her peers, Dubuc quickly picked the former.
“Maverick denotes being first and pushing forward. I have never thought of myself as being all that academic so genius doesn’t seem to apply.”
Other attendees included Rashida Jones, Nat Faxon, Minnie Driver, Andrew Rannells and Kat Graham.
