Insiders: Exec shuffles

Kinetic Content has named Peter Wasek as senior veep of finance and Melissa Weaver as senior veep of business and legal affairs. Wasek was previously with Walden Media. Weaver served as counsel for the entertainment division of Manatt Phelps.

Julie Cartwright has advanced to exec veep of worldwide marketing at Anchor Bay Entertainment. She’s been with the distrib since 1999.

Caralene Robinson has joined VH1 as senior veep of creative group and consumer marketing. She had been a brand strategy and marketing exec at Nextel.

Embassy Row has tapped Ruth Chen as senior veep of business affairs and operations. Chen spent the past nine years in TV biz affairs at WME.

Amanda Rohlke has joined VariEnt, an entertainment and tech startup, as veep of production. She most recently worked for director Catherine Hardwicke as an associate producer on the upcoming pic “Plush.”

Telemundo Media has appointed Mike Rosen exec veep of ad sales and integrated marketing. He joins the NBCUniversal network group from Starcom MediaVest Group.

Benny Tarantini has been promoted to senior VP of publicity for Columbia Records. He’s been with the label since 2003.

Katie Buchanan has joined CMT as senior veep of program planning and scheduling. She was previously with Style Network.

Suzette Millo has joined MundoFox as veep of content strategy. She comes to Fox’s Spanish-lingo broadcast network from Telemundo.

Fishbowl Worldwide Media has upped David Beebe to senior veep and g.m. of its digital studio. Before joining Fishbowl he was with Disney/ABC Digital Media.
