LONDON — London-based post-production shingle and financier Creativity Media is expanding its remit to develop and produce in-house projects. The company’s first completed in-house project, “The List,” is being repped in Berlin by Imagination Worldwide, while this week saw Creativity pact with helmer Asif Kapadia to develop a new project with Goalpost Film.

Creativity Media, launched in 2010 by producer Patrick Fischer and post-production veterans Richard Kondal and Alex Joseph, has provided post services to 16 films, and financed and co-produced five, including thriller “Tower Block.”

“The List” marks the first step in a new direction for the company in developing and producing its own projects.

” ‘The List’ is an important film for Creativity,” says Fischer. “We partnered with Imagination in the U.S. and Now Films in U.K. to craft a thriller with universal appeal.”

Pic revolves around a man (Anthony Flanagan) who creates a website where users rank corrupt officials and businessmen in order to force change. When the list becomes a worldwide phenomenon, a murderous scientist starts executing whoever ranks top and public opinion turns against the list’s creator. Soon he finds himself hunted by both authorities and killer as he becomes chief suspect and his list ranking rises.

The film, which marks the feature debut of German helmer-scripter Klaus Huttmann, pre-sold to Tiberius (German-speaking territories); Just Bridge (Benelux); Lusomundo (Portugal); and Daro (TV) and Ster Kinekor (video) in South Africa. It has also sold to Accent for Australia/New Zealand and New Select for Japan. Fischer and Now Films’ Michael Knowles produce.

Few details are yet available on the Kapadia project, a drama scripted by Matthew Presley from a story by Fischer and produced with Goalpost’s Tristan Whalley and Jessie Mangum.

Creativity inked a deal with Kapadia just ahead of Berlin, which will mark the helmer’s first project since his doc “Senna” and first fiction feature since 2007’s “Far North.”
