Lava Bear, QED Team on “Intrusion”

"V/H/S" filmmaker David Bruckner to Helm

David Linde’s Lava Bear and QED International plan to finance and co-produce David Bruckner’s thriller “Intrusion,” the companies announced Friday.

Bruckner, best known by horror fans for directing segment “Amateur Nights” from “V/H/S,” will direct from a script by L.D. Goffigan. Quadrant Pictures’ Doug Davison will produce with Tariq Jalil, Lava Bear and QED’s Bill Block.

QED’s John Hegeman will exec produce, while Lava Bear’s Tory Metzger will oversee the project.

Davison and Linde have teamed on thrillers before, pairing up on 2008 horror pic “The Strangers” during Linde’s time at Rogue Pictures.

Intrusion” will take advantage of California’s production tax credit program, which offers up to 20% for qualifying projects.
