Cinemax Orders Pilot for Post-Vietnam Drama “Quarry”

Cinemax has ordered a pilot for “Quarry” from “Rectify” scribes Graham Gordy and Michael D. Fuller.

Hourlong drama, from Anonymous Content, centers on a Marine sniper coming home from Vietnam in 1973. Upon his return, he finds himself shunned by those he loves and demonized by the public. Combat-hardened and disillusioned, he’s recruited into a network of contract killers and corruption.

Gordy and Fuller have penned “Quarry” and will exec produce alongside Steve Golin, David Kanter, Matt DeRoss, Keith Redmon and John Hillcoat.

Hillcoat, who recently directed feature films “Lawless” and “The Road,” will helm the pilot.
