In case you haven’t heard, Broadway’s newly retooled production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella,” which opened March 3 at the Broadway Theater, is selling well. Really well.

So much so that book writer Douglas Carter Beane, whose past exploits include the short-lived musical “Lysistrata Jones,” finds it a little disconcerting.

“I don’t know how to write a show with an advance!” he declared at the opening night party at Gotham Hall. “I’m used to taking breaks to stand outside the theater and bang the drum. ‘Please come to our show! Please come to our show!’ ”

The early momentum for “Cinderella” is also a nice switcheroo for producer Robyn Goodman, whose last project, the porn comedy “The Performers” — battered by Superstorm Sandy and lousy reviews — shuttered quickly.

Some of those investors from “Performers” stuck with her for “Cinderella.” “The friends stayed,” she said. “And I think they’re glad they did!”
