XYZ Films forms int’l sales division

Shingle to unveil its full sales slate at Cannes

XYZ Films has formed an international sales division dubbed XYZ International.

The new operation will handle world sales on behalf of third-party projects consistent with the XYZ brand — elevated genre films with broad commercial appeal — as well as on many of XYZ’s in-house production titles.

The company said it will also continue to specialize in handling North American sales for an “eclectic” array of films from around the world.

XYZ said it will unveil its full sales slate at Cannes in May.

“We’re very excited to start the next chapter of XYZ Films,” said XYZ partner Nate Bolotin, who will oversee sales for XYZ International. “We’re now equipped to enable filmmakers from start to finish: inception to worldwide distribution.”

XYZ Films is best known for “The Raid” and is in production on its sequel.
