Emma Watson is hearing “Your Voice in My Head,” and will star in the long-in-development drama now set with indie producers.

Shooting will start in New York in November. Francesca Gregorini is directing.

Story is based on Emma Forrest’s novel about a bipolar English woman and the  selfless psychiatrist who saves her life while fighting for his own. Producers are Alison Owen and Michael Benaroya for Benaroya Pictures.

The announcement was made at the Toronto Film Festival by International Film Trust President Ariel Veneziano, who is handling international rights. CAA is representing the domestic sales rights.

Watson’s recent credits since completing the Harry Potter films include “Bling Ring” and “This Is the End.” “Harry Potter” director David Yates came on board in 2011 to direct “Your Voice in My Head” for London-based Ruby Films. In 2012, Warner came on to finance and Watson and Stanley Tucci were attached to star.

The THR.com site first reported the news.

Watson is repped by WME and Markham Froggat Irwin in the UK.
