Sundance Selects/IFC Promotes Schwartz, Winton, Ankori

Schwartz, Ankori, Winton given expanded roles

Distribution labels Sundance Selects and IFC Films has promoted Lauren Schwartz (pictured above, left) to head film publicity and Shani Ankori (pictured above, right) as head of marketing.

Additionally, Michael Winton (pictured above, center) will run film publicity and marketing efforts for sister label IFC Midnight and report to Ankori. Schwartz and Ankori report to IFC topper Jonathan Sehring.

Ankori, who had been VP of marketing, has been at the company for six years and worked on “Cave of Forgotten Dreams,” “Tiny Furniture,” “Buck,” “Pina” and “In The Loop.”

Schwartz, who had been VP of publicity, joined the company in 2011 and has worked on “Sleepwalk With Me,” “The Central Park Five,” “How to Survive a Plague” and “Pina.”

Winton, who had been director of marketing and publicity, has worked on  Midnight titles including “Room 237” and “The Jeffrey Dahmer Files.”
