And so it begins.
Bleedingcoolnews.com has leaked a casting breakdown for J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: Episode VII.”
Seven key roles will be cast, including a young man in his early-to-mid 20s, two young females who both have to be physically fit and an older man in his 70s who could be in the vein of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Sources tell Variety that April Webster and Alyssa Weisberg, who have cast all of Abrams’ previous TV and film projects, will cast out of the U.S. and Nina Gold, who was the casting director for “The King’s Speech” and “The Counselor,” will cast out of the U.K.

Looking at Abrams’ past films, it wouldn’t be surprising if he pursues actors who are relatively unknown, as he did with “Star Trek” and “Super 8.”
Production is set to start at the beginning of 2014.
