Sony Dates ‘Jump Street 2,’ ‘Sex Tape’ For 2014 Summer

'Think Like a Man Too' dated on June 20, 2014

Sony has dated a trio of comedies for the 2014 summer — “21 Jump Street 2” on June 6; “Think Like A Man Too” on June 20; and “Sex Tape” on July 2.

Sony began working on the “Jump Street” sequel, with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum reprising their roles, just before the comedy opened in March, 2012. The original went on to top $200 million in worldwide grosses.

21 Jump Street 2” will open against Paramount’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

“Think Like a Man Too” will open against Fox’s “How to Train Your Dragon 2.” The original grossed $91 million last spring.

Sex Tape,” starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel, will launch against Disney’s family drama “Maleficent.”
