After appearing in several David Cronenberg pics, Sarah Gadon is ready to be wooed by the Prince of Darkness.

Thesp is in negotiations for the female lead in Universal’s “Dracula” opposite “Fast & Furious 6” star Luke Evans, with Gary Shore directing and Michael De Luca producing.

The story is a mix of mythology and  history as it follows the story of Prince Vlad, the inspiration for the Dracula character popularized by Bram Stoker’s novel.

Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless wrote the latest draft of the script and Alissa Phillips will serve as exec producer. VP of production Anikah McLaren and creative executive Jay Polidoro will oversee the project for Universal, which is slating it for an Aug. 8, 2014, release.

Gadon worked with Cronenberg on “A Dangerous Method,” “Cosmopolis” and the upcoming “Map to the Stars.” She can be seen next opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in “An Enemy.”
