FilmDistrict has set Ryan Reynolds‘ sci-fier “Selfless” for a U.S. release on Sept. 26, 2014.

The film is directed by Tarsem Singh. Endgame Entertainment and FilmDistrict co-financed “Selfless” after jointly acquiring the screenplay by Alex Pastor and David Pastor (“Carriers”).

FilmNation sold most markets for the movie at Cannes, including the U.K. (Entertainment Film), Japan (Kino Films),  France (SND), Spain (DeAPlaneta), Italy (Eagle), Germany (Telemunchen) and Australia/New Zealand (Roadshow).

Focus Features has already dated animated film “The Boxtrolls” for Sept. 26, 2014.
