Lensing will commence in February in Ontario, with Egoyan directing from a screenplay he wrote with David Fraser.
Movie is co-produced by Ego Film Arts and the Film Farm. Producers are Egoyan, Simone Urdl, Jennifer Weiss and Stephen Traynor.
Reynolds plays the father of an abducted child who finds a series of clues that convince him that the girl is still alive. Dawson will play the detective in charge of the investigation.
The film will be distributed in Canada by Entertainment One (eOne), which will handle international sales. ARP Selection will distribute in France.
Dawson is currently filming “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” and recently wrapped “Parts Per Billion” with Josh Hartnett, Penn Badgley and Frank Langella. Later this year, Dawson will be seen in Diego Luna’s biopic “Chavez” with Michael Pena and in the Danny Boyle thriller “Trance” with James McAvoy and Vincent Cassel.
