Rita Moreno, Kathleen Rose Perkins, Anthony Zerbe and Simon Miller have joined the cast of the feature version of “Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks.”
Gena Rowlands, Cheyenne Jackson and Ann-Margret have been cast previously in the movie, based on Richard Alfieri’s play of the same name. Filming is set to start April 8 in Budapest.
Budapest-based Docler Entertainment is producing in association with Los Angeles-based Entpr. Producers are Gyorgy Gattyan, Andras Somkuti and Thomas H. Brodek; exec producers are Jerry Offsay, Marc Platt and Bruno Gyorgy.
Arthur Allan Seidelman, who directed legit productions on Broadway, at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles and on London’s West End, is also directing the movie version from Alfieri’s adaptation.
Story centers on a retired woman, played by Rowland, who hires a dance instructor to give her private dance lessons — one per week for six weeks— in her condo in Florida.
