Stuntman Peewee Piemonte will be making his directorial debut on indie 3D skateboarding film “Skate God,” with Esti Ginzburg (“Twelve”) onboard as the female lead.
The project is being produced under Alexander Garcia’s Multi-Valence Prods. banner alongside Impact Motion Pictures and is targeting a late summer start date in New Mexico.
Producers are Garcia, Stephen R. Hudis, Lindy S. Hudis, Louis Race and Julie Michaels.
Piemonte’s recent credits include serving as stunt coordinator on “Southland” and “The Newsroom” and working on features “Star Trek Into Darkness” and “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.”
Garcia, a retired professional skateboarder, wrote the screenplay, which centers on a skateboarder in a dystopian world who discovers he is a descendant of a Greek god and is plunged into battle with a clandestine society hellbent on overtaking humankind. Producers are also planning a comicbook series.
