New ‘This Is The End’ Red-Band Trailer Features Cursing, Ax-Wielding Emma Watson

Buzz is building for post-apocalyptic comedy due out June 12

Emma Watson receives a lion’s share of the footage in a new 30-second red-band trailer for post-apocalyptic comedy “This Is The End,” opening June 12.

The clip starts with Jay Baruchel saying, “I think it’s the apocalypse,” followed by fires, car crashes and explosions, Craig Robinson screaming and Michael Cera with massive axe in his back asking “Is it bad?”

Watson portrays a foul-mouthed maniac who demands “all your drinks” from Jonah Hill, James Franco, Seth Rogen, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson,  then clobbers Rogen in the face with an ax.

The trailer concludes with a doleful McBride intoning, “Hermione just stole all of our shit.”

Sony showed about five minutes of “This Is the End,” directed by first time helmers Rogen and Evan Goldberg, at CinemaCon. Along with Fox’s “The Heat,” the footage received the biggest laughs during the four days.

Movie bloggers were equally enthusiastic at a press screening last week, with some tweeting that the audience was laughing so hard they couldn’t hear all of the dialogue.
