Unionized healthcare workers at the Motion Picture Television Fund will leaflet at the annual “Night Before” fundraiser Saturday at the Beverly Hilton over the lack of progress in contract negotiations.

A spokesman said for the Service Employees International Union of the United Healthcare Workers union said that the leaflets will thank attendees for their support of the hospital and long-term care center along with detailing the issues in the contract dispute.

The union has been seeking a lower patient-to-staff ratio and maintaining benefits while the MPTF has asserted that employees are being treated fairly. The two sides have bargaining over a successor agreement to an expired contract since last August.

The workers protested Thursday at the hospital and long-term care center in Woodland Hills.

George Clooney and Jeffrey Katzebenberg announced a $350 million fundraising campaign for the MPTF a year ago. Katzenberg, Steven Spielberg and David Geffen each donated $30 million to the fund.
