Mischa Barton to Topline Indie ‘Fast Life’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Indie drama to be shot in LA this summer

Mischa Barton has signed on to star in indie drama “Fast Life,”  directed and written by music video helmer Rock Jacobs.

Jessie Rusu (“96 Minutes”) and Artist Int. are producing. Shooting is expected to start in the summer in Los Angeles

Fast Life” is centered around an ad exec who falls in with an unsavory fast money crowd, only to be drawn to its antithesis when introduced to an unimpressed young woman, portrayed by Barton.

“Fast Life” will be Jacobs’ feature directorial debut. He has directed music videos for Vanessa Hudgens and Miranda Cosgrove.

Barton, best known for the “O.C.,” has starred recently in supernatural thrillers “Into the Dark,” which was shopped at Cannes last year, and “A Resurrection,” opposite the late Michael Clarke Duncan in one of his final roles.
