Lionsgate Boards BriTANick Comedy (EXCLUSIVE)

Duo slated to direct, star and produce

Lionsgate is developing a comedy with Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher, based on a pitch from the BriTANick sketch comedy duo.

McElhaney and Kocher, who were included on Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch this year, will direct, produce and star in the project. The logline is being kept under wraps.

The pair’s videos are often on absurdest themes such as “Jesus Toast.” Joss Whedon gave both actors small parts in “Much Ado About Nothing” and they starred in the indie feature “Intramural” opposite Jake Lacy, Kate McKinnon and Beck Bennett. They also staffed on the Fox series “The Goodwin Games.”

McElhaney and Kocher are repped by Paradigm, Brad Petriglia at Brillstein and attorneys Melissa Fox and Ken Richman.
