Liev Schreiber Film ‘Last Days on Mars’ Gets U.S. Distribution

Sci-fi thriller also stars Elias Koteas, Romola Garai, Olivia Williams and Tom Cullen

Magnet Releasing has acquired U.S. rights to sci-fi thriller “The Last Days on Mars,” two months after its debut at the Cannes Film Festival’s Directors’ Fortnight.

Liev SchreiberElias Koteas, Romola Garai, Olivia Williams and Tom Cullen star in “Mars” from Focus Features Intl., which handled foreign sales. Michael Kuhn and Andrea Cornwell produced the film, the feature debut of Ruairi Robinson.

Magnet is planning a release through its Ultra VOD program later this year. Deal was negotiated by Dori Begley and Peter Van Steemburg with Focus Features Intl.
