Jonathan Deckter Promoted To IM Global Presidency

Voland, Joffe sign new employment pacts

In a pre-Cannes move, IM Global has promoted Jonathan Deckter to president, elevating the exec from his slate as president of international sales and distribution.

Founder and CEO Stuart Ford announced the promotion at the sales-financing-production company. Deckter has also signed a multi-year employment deal as have execs Bonnie Voland and Tatyana Joffe.

Deckter, who came on board from Lakeshore International in 2010, is acting as the senior sales executive for its Opus, Octane, Acclaim and Anthem labels. He will oversee day to day management of the Apsara pan-Asian distribution label, serve on the board of the company’s Latin American cinema joint venture Mundial and oversee foreign output relationships and third party acquisitions.

Deckter noted that during his tenure, IM Global has financed 16 films and signed output deals in 130 countries.

Voland renewed the exclusive deal to oversee worldwide publicity and marketing activity. She has been with the company since its inception six years ago and spearheads its film festival and market participation, including coordinating the upcoming visit of Martin Scorsese to Cannes to promote sales title “Silence.”

Joffe joined the company in 2010 and has risen to the role of exec VP of international sales. Prior to IM Global, she worked at QED International, Media 8 Entertainment and Trimark Pictures.
