Nick Jonas Joins ‘Careful What You Wish For’

Singer Nick Jonas has come on to star in Elizabeth Allen’s indie thriller “Careful What You Wish For” opposite Isabel Lucas.

Hyde Park-Image Nation and Troika Pictures are producing. Producers are Robert L. Stein, Michael A. Helfant and Bradley Gallo for Troika Pictures; Ashok Amritraj for Hyde Park and Kirk D’Amico.

Lensing will begin April 22 in Charlotte, N.C. It’s the first leading role in a feature for Jonas, who will play a man who begins an affair with the young wife of an investment banker renting the lake house next door for the summer. The husband then dies suspiciously.

Script is penned by Chris Frisina and Gregg Hurwitz.

Stuart Brown, Raj Singh and Kevin Frakes will exec produce for Merced Media Partners. William Gallo and Dale Rosenbloom will exec produce with Phillip Cohen as co-exec producer for Troika Pictures.

Hyde Park International represents international rights.  “Careful What You Wish For” has already been sold to Square One for Germany, Swen for Latin America, Grandview for Eastern Europe, Phars for the Middle East, Aqua Pinema for Turkey, Lusomundo for Portugal, Ster Kinekor for South Africa and PT Amero for Indonesia.
