Screen Media Films has set a Jan. 31 release date for the indie drama “Somewhere Slow,” which stars Jessalyn Gilsig (“Glee”).
The thesp is also a producer via her Lady in the Tree banner along with Michael Anderson and Christopher Sepulveda of Logolite Entertainment and Jeremy O’Keefe of Tax-Free Films. O’Keefe directed from his own script.
“Somewhere Slow,” which won the best narrative feature at the Brooklyn Film Festival, also stars Graham Patrick Martin, David Costabile, Wallace Langham, Lindsay Crouse and Robert Forster.
Gilsig plays a woman who gets mixed up in a convenience store robbery and makes a split-second decision to walk out of her life and into the unknown. On her travels, she meets a teenage drifter on his own journey of self-discovery.
The film will have a theatrical debut in limited theaters and be available on VOD on Jan. 31. The deal was made on behalf of the filmmakers by Jon Gursha & Peter Greene of FilmMarketing Services.
