Inception Media Acquires Strategic Film Partners

Deal announced at Cannes

Los Angeles-based Inception Media Group has acquired film sales company Strategic Film Partners for an undisclosed price.

Deal was announced at Cannes on Thursday. The newly created Inception Film Partners plans to acquire 15-20 films per year.

Strategic Film Partners, co-founded in 2004 by Alex Barder, attends all major film markets and festivals, representing films for sale. Barder was made a partner in the new subsidiary and has been tapped as president to manage  day-to-day operations, including business development, strategic planning, acquisitions, film financing and sales.

Inception Film Partners also plans to expand into content acquisitions and international co-productions.

Parent Inception Media has a catalog of approximately 100 filmed entertainment properties and over 2,500 hours of digital content.
