Fantasy Book Series ‘The Morgaine Stories’ Set for Bigscreen Adaptation

Aaron Magnani will produce with Peter Arneson writing the script

Producer Aaron Magnani has optioned the screen rights to author CJ Cherryh’s sci-fi fantasy quartet “The Morgaine Stories” with Peter Arneson adapting.

The plan is to start a possible franchise titled “The Gates of Morgaine.”

Set in a distant medieval world, the series tells the epic story of an outcast warrior forced to serve a mysterious time-traveling heroine. Legend says she is evil, but he eventually learns her mission is to save the universe.

Arneson has already penned the screenplay for the first novel, “The Gates of Morgaine: Ivrel,” which Magnani has also optioned. He will produce through his Water Bear-Aaron Magnani Prods., alongside Duck Kolenik.

Magnani and Arneson previously worked on indie “Iron Doors” together. Magnani is also producing “18 Wheel Butterfly” with Evan Rachel Wood attached to star.
