Online ticketing site Fandango has renewed its ticketing contract with the Regal Entertainment Group movie theater circuit for an additional five years into 2018.
Fandango made the announcement Monday on the opening day of the CinemaCon trade show in Las Vegas. It noted that Regal has included Fandango’s paperless Mobile Ticket service to more than 1,000 of the circuit’s screens, including locations in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York City, Philadelphia, San Diego , San Francisco and Seattle.
“Fandango was founded in 2000 to make moviegoing easier, and together, we will continue to innovate for the convenience of Regal’s patrons,” said Amy Miles, CEO of Regal.
Fandango is an NBCUniversal company and sells tickets to more than 20,000 screens nationwide.
