Ellen Page set for directorial debut with ‘Miss Stevens’

Ana Faris attached to star

Ellen Page will make her directorial debut with “Miss Stevens,” which has Anna Faris attached to star as a teacher who chaperones a group of high schoolers to a state drama competition.

Gary Gilbert and Jordan Horowitz of Gilbert Films will produce with Doug Wald of Anonymous Content. Nicole Romano and Trevor Adley of Anonymous Content exec produce.

Screenplay was written by Julia Hart, who’s currently adapting “Beautiful Disaster” for Warner Bros. “Stevens” is the second collab between the husband-and-wife team of Horwitz and Hart, whose 2012 Black List script “The Keeping Room” begins production in spring with Daniel Barber directing.

Page, star of “Juno” and “Inception” as well as Sundance pics “The East” and “Touchy Feely,” is represented by WME and Vie Entertainment; Faris and Hart are represented by WME and Anonymous Content.
