Ellie Kemper Joins Sony Comedy ‘Sex Tape’

“The Office” actress Ellie Kemper has joined the cast of the Sony comedy “Sex Tape” starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel.

Jake Kasdan will helm from an original screenplay penned by Kate Angelo with revisions by Segel, Kasdan and Nicholas Stoller. Rob Lowe and Rob Corddry also star.

Story follows a married couple who take advantage of a rare night to themselves to make a video to spice up their relationship. Their private footage is accidentally synched to a handful of other devices and they embark on a crazy quest to retrieve them.

The pic is produced by Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch. Executive Producers are David Householter, David Bloomfield, Kasdan and Segel.

Kemper’s past credits include “21 Jump Street,” “Identity Thief” and “Bridesmaids.” She is repped by WME and Mosaic.
