Ed Harris to Co-Star With Ethan Hawke in ‘Cymbeline’

Michael Almereyda is directing

Ed Harris is set to join the adaptation of William Shakespeare’s “Cymbeline” starring Ethan Hawke.

Michael Almereyda will direct. Producers are Anthony Katagas for Keep Your Head Productions and Michael Benaroya, who will fully finance through his banner Benaroya Pictures.

The film will portray a battle between dirty cops and a drug-dealing biker gang set against the backdrop of a corruption-riddled 21st century America. Shakespeare’s play centered on the daughter of the British king Cymbeline, who discovers she has secretly married a man raised in her father’s court, resulting in banishment from the court.

The CAA-repped Harris recently joined the WB pic “Run All Night.”
