Douglas Booth heading to Wachowskis’ ‘Jupiter’

Busy thesp joins cast of WB sci-fi pic

Andy and Lana Wachowski are filling out the “Jupiter Ascending” cast with another rising star as “Noah” thesp Douglas Booth has signed on to the Warner Bros. sci-fi pic.

Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Eddie Redmayne and Sean Bean are also on board. The Wachowskis will write and direct the pic.

Pic is set in a time where humans are at the bottom of the evolutionary ladder, and it follows a woman who has been targeted for assassination by the queen of the universe.

The specifics of Booth’s character are unclear.

Booth has been busy on the big screen during the past year.

He just finished production on Paramount’s Bible adventure “Noah” starring Russell Crowe and will next be seen as Romeo in Julian Fellowes’ “Romeo and Juliet” opposite Hailee Steinfeld. His past credits include the BBC America telepic “Great Expectations” and BBC biopic “Worried About the Boy.”

Booth is repped by UTA and Curtis Brown.
