Danielle Bisutti has scared up a role in James Wan’s “Insidious Chapter 2,” joining Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye and Ty Simpkins.

Jason Blum, who produced “Insidious,” is producing the sequel through his Blumhouse Prods., with Entertainment One financing. Brian Kavanaugh Jones, Oren Peli, Steven Schneider, and Charles Layton exec produce.

Wan is directing from a script by Leigh Whannell, who also wrote the first film. First pic starred Wilson and Byrne as parents confronting the demons that possess their son.

FilmDistrict has set an Aug. 30 release date for the U.S. Entertainment One will distribute in Canada, the U.K. (via its Momentum Pictures subsidiary) and Spain (via Aurum), and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions will distribute in all other international territories.

Bisutti’s credits include recurring roles on “Parks & Recreation,” “Last Man Standing,” “CSI: Miami,” “Raising the Bar” and “Without a Trace.” She is repped by Pakula/King & Associates and managed by Justice & Ponder.
