Keeping a full film slate since leaving “Downton Abbey,” Dan Stevens has now joined Adam Sandler in Tom McCarthy’s indie drama “The Cobbler.”
Stevens also recently signed on to “Night at the Museum 3” where he will play Lancelot– giving him both a commercial hit and an art house pic that could play well in award season.
McCarthy will write and direct the pic, with Mary Jane Skalski producing.
Plot details are still being kept underwraps. Stevens would shoot this first and then jump into “Night at the Museum 3.”
Stevens also recently wrapped production on the Adam Wingard pic “The Guest” and has the Liam Neeson pic “A Walk Among Tombstones” awaiting a release date. He was also seen in DreamWorks’ “The Fifth Estate.”
He is repped by WME and Julian Belfrange Associates.
