D23 Expo: Amy Poehler Leads Cast of Emotions in Disney’s ‘Inside Out’

Toon debuts summer 2015

Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Bill Hader and Phyllis Smith voice the lead characters in Disney’s upcoming animated “Inside Out,” directed by Pete Docter.

Poehler voices the lead character of Joy, while Kaling plays Disgust, Black (Anger); and Smith (Sadness).

Film is set in the human mind with locations including Train of Thought, Imagination Land, that resembles a theme park, and the studio lot-looking Dream Production.

Toon debuts summer 2015.

The cast was revealed at Disney’s D23 Expo fanfest at the Anaheim Convention Center.
