Clifton Collins boards Johnny Depp pic ‘Transcendence’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Sci-fi pic will be helmed by Wally Pfister

Clifton Collins has joined the cast of the Wally Pfister sci-fi film “Transcendence” starring Johnny Depp.

Pic also stars Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall, Morgan Freeman and Kate Mara.

Transcendence” will be financed and produced by Alcon Entertainment’s Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove. Warner Bros. will distribute.

Written by Jack Paglen, the screenplay was developed by Annie Marter and Straight Up Films, whose principals include Marisa Polvino, Kate Cohen and Regency Boies. Polvino, Marter and Cohen will produce along with David Valdes (“Book of Eli”), Johnson and Kosove. Boies will co-produce.

Plot details are being kept under wraps. Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas and Aaron Ryder are executive producers.

The Industry Entertainment-repped Collins was most recently seen in “Parker” and can be seen next in Legendary’s “Pacific Rim.” He is also repped by attorney David Krintzman.
