Cast already includes Boyd Hollbrook and Rhys Wakefield

Terrence Howard and Thomas Haden Church are set to star in the indie drama “Cardboard Boxer.”

Pic currently stars Boyd Holbrook, Macy Gray and Rhys Wakefield, with Knate Gwaltney writing and directing the pic.

Story follows a homeless man living on Los Angeles’ Skid Row who finds himself the target of a group of rich, trouble-making teenagers who are paying the underprivileged to fight each other.

Michael Witherill is producing and financing through his MJW Pictures banner. Michael Roiff will also join as a producer.

Howard is coming off some his best reviews in years with the Warner Bros. and Alcon pic “Prisoners.” He is repped by CAA.

The CAA and 3 Arts repped Church was most recently in “Lucky Them” with Toni Collette.
