Barbra Streisand Inks with UTA to Step Up Directing Work

Agency will rep her and Barwood Films shingle as thesp, helmer and producer

Barbra Streisand has signed with UTA as she prepares to step up her activity as a director.

The tenpercentery will rep her as a helmer, actress and producer and will rep her film and television shingle, Barwood Films.

Streisand recently made her return to the big screen starring opposite Seth Rogen in Paramount’s “The Guilt Trip,” which bowed in December. Her last directing gig was 1996’s “The Mirror Has Two Faces.”

Streisand continues to be repped by her longtime manager, Marty Erlichman.

Streisand has not been with a percentery in recent years, since exiting WME.

Guilt Trip” marked her first starring role since 2010’s “Little Fockers.” She came back into the public eye in a big way this year with her perf on last month’s Oscar telecast.

In addition to her showbiz work, Streisand remains a devoted philanthropist. The Streisand Foundation has distributed millions of dollars to more than 700 non-profit orgs, including her substantial underwriting of the Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
