Alcon Entertainment has promoted David Fierson to the post of general counsel and exec VP of business affairs.
He was named Alcon’s first in-house counsel in 2006 and joined the Warner Bros.-based company as VP of business affairs. He will report to co-founders and co-CEOs Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson as well as CFO Scott Parish.
Fierson will continue to manage the business and legal affairs department and work closely with Scott Edel, Alcon’s primary outside counsel at Loeb and Loeb. Kosove and Johnson credited Fierson with working on solutions resulting in Alcon being able to produce “Dolphin Tale” and the upcoming “Blade Runner” reboot.
Before joining Alcon, Fierson was senior counsel at Screen Gems after working as an attorney in Paramount’s network television production division.
