“Evil Dead” star Lou Taylor Pucci and Nadia Hilker will star in sci-fi horror film “Spring,” with shooting starting later this month in Italy.
XYZ Films has picked up all worldwide sales rights and will sell “Spring” at the American Film Market.
Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, creators of “Resolution,” are directing from Benson’s script. Producers are Benson, Moorhead and David Lawson with 9.99 Films producing the film in Italy.
XYZ Films partners Nate Bolotin, Nick Spicer, Aram Tertzakian and Todd Brown are exec producing. Shooting will conclude in Los Angeles in January.
“Spring” follows young man in a personal tailspin as he flees Southern California to the Italian coast, where he sparks up a romance with a woman carrying a dark secret.
XYZ will be producing the remake of the South African thriller “iNumber Number” and is in production on horror actioner “Stung” in Berlin. XYZ and Merantau are in post-production on “Killers.”
Taylor Pucci also starred last year in “The Story of Luke.”
