’40 Days Of Dating’ Taps ‘The Vow’ Helmer Michael Sucsy

Based on blog by New York designers

The Vow” director Michael Sucsy has come on board Warner Bros.’ romantic comedy “40 Days of Dating,” based on the dating blog compiled by New York designers Jessica Walsh and Timothy Goodman.

Michael Sugar, Joy Gorman and Bard Dorros are producing for Anonymous Content.

Warner Bros. won the auction for the property, which includes life rights of Walsh and Goodman. Lorene Scafaria (“Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World”) will write the script.

Walsh and Goodman began the blog earlier this year, which they write is about “two good friends with opposite relationship problems [who] found themselves single at the same time. As an experiment, they dated for 40 days.”

Walsh is described on the blog as “a hopeless romantic who jumps into relationships very quickly” while Goodwin says he “is afraid of commitment and tends to date many girls at the same time.”

Sarah Schechter is overseeing the project for the studio.

CAA brokered the deal and represents Sucsy and Scafaria, who also represented by Anonymous Content. Walsh and Goodman’s attorney is Raymond Javdan of The Javdan Firm. Warren Dern is Scafaria’s attorney.

Deadline Hollywood first reported the news.
